079 Salem Health - Santiam

Current Status

On July 3, 2026, Oregon Health Authority (OHA) received a request from Salem Health and Santiam Hospital & Clinics to exempt their proposed affiliation from Health Care Market Oversight review. OHA is evaluating the request and may ask Salem Health and Santiam for additional information, as needed.

OHA is accepting public comments related to the emergency exemption through July 24, 2026. To submit a public comment, include the word "Santiam" in your comment and share your comment in one of these ways:

Notice of Material Change Transaction

OHA accepted a complete notice of material change transaction and began a preliminary HCMO review on April 16, 2026. OHA began a comprehensive HCMO review of the transaction on May 5, 2026. The entities withdrew the notice of material change transaction July 3, 2026, ending the comprehensive review.
