Benefits to Bridge Pediatric and Adult Care

OHP members with YSHCN benefits have the same OHP benefits as children and young adults under age 21:

Extra Vision Services

Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) benefits

EPSDT benefits include:all medically necessary and medically appropriate care.

Special help managing care

People with YSHCN benefits may also qualify for Health-Related Social Needs benefits. Health-related social needs (HRSN) are basic needs that affect a person’s health. They include things like:

  • Housing, 
  • Nutrition and 
  • Equipment to stay healthy during extreme weather.
