Food Safety Tips
The Public Health Division's Acute and Communicable Disease Prevention Program investigates foodborne gastroenteritis outbreaks and works with local health departments to notify people when outbreaks occur. The Division's Foodborne Illness Prevention Program works in partnership with local health departments, the food industry and public to reduce or eliminate the known causes of foodborne illness; this program also oversees the Food Handler Card program.
