Quick Links

What is a CCBHC?

"Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) provide mental health and substance use disorder services. CCBHCs serve everyone no matter their age, where they live, or their ability to pay. CCBHCs must provide 9 required services:
  • Crisis services, including mobile crisis services
  • Outpatient mental health and substance use services
  • Service planning
  • Screening, assessment, and diagnosis
  • Outpatient primary care screening and monitoring
  • Psychiatric rehabilitation services
  • Targeted case management
  • Peer-delivered services
CCBHCs help connect people to the care and supports they need.CCBHCs have care coordination partnerships with physical health providers, schools, child welfare, local intellectual and developmental disabilities departments, and other community partners

 How are CCBHCs Funded?

Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics are primarily paid through Medicaid. CCBHCs may seek grant funds and/or fees through a sliding fee scale to cover services provided to individuals who do not have Oregon Health Plan.
CCBHCs receive a prospective payment system (PPS) rate based on clinic-specific direct and indirect costs and number of daily visits. CCBHCs receive one payment per Oregon Health Plan member served per day regardless of the type, number, or intensity of the service(s) provided.
