DLCD is offering
a new service to support rural communities with funding that the legislature added to its 2021-2023 budget. Eligible communities include communities under 20,000 in population outside Metropolitan Planning Organization boundaries. Communities may request support to 1) engage transportation-disadvantaged, and/or traditionally-underserved populations in transportation planning efforts; 2) to prioritize and provide project-level analysis to projects that align with State and Federal funding streams; or 3) both.
If interested, please download, complete, and return the
fillable form to
Madeline Phillips at DLCD by June 1, 2022. DLCD Staff will reach out to those responding for this assistance opportunity to better-understand the proposed project and support scope development. Projects will be selected to move forward in early July, as resources allow.
*Please note that funding is available to be spent through the conclusion of the current biennium, which ends June 30, 2023*
