About the Council
The Oversight and Accountability Council is established for the purpose of advising the Oregon Health Authority on the grant program described in ORS 430.389, including but not limited to advising the authority on:
- Funding priorities;
- Funding distribution; and
- An educational campaign to increase awareness of services.
The members of the council are all qualified individuals with lived experience of substance use disorder and/or experience in substance use treatment and other addiction services. The OAC Membership List provides the names of all OAC members and the position they hold.
Oregon Health Authority (OHA) is seeking to fill two seats on the council:
- An academic researcher specializing in drug use or drug policy
- A representative of a coordinated care organization
Council members serve four-year terms. OHA will notify the selected applicant of their appointment by March 31, 2026.
