Developmental Screening and Follow-up Technical Assistance

The OHA Transformation Center provided technical assistance to CCOs and their contracted primary care providers on increasing rates of developmental screening and effective follow-up (referrals and connection to supportive services for children when indicated by developmental screening results).

The Oregon Pediatric Improvement Partnership (OPIP) developed tip sheets, guides and webinar-based Q&A sessions for CCOs. OPIP also developed overview guides and a webinar for primary care providers on developmental screening and follow-up. The materials are meant to provide a high-level summary of what is needed to consider and support these efforts.

Developmental screening and follow-up: strategies for CCOs to support primary care providers Improving follow-up to developmental screening: Best practices for primary care providers Minding the gap: identifying children not being screened according to claims data and addressing root causes Engaging community-level partners to support follow-up to developmental screening Referring to and coordinating with Early Intervention in Oregon: Key concepts for primary care
