About the Council
The Oversight and Accountability Council is established for the purpose of advising the Oregon Health Authority on the grant program described in ORS 430.389, including but not limited to advising the authority on:
- Funding priorities;
- Funding distribution; and
- An educational campaign to increase awareness of services.
The members of the council are all qualified individuals with lived experience of substance use disorder and/or experience in substance use treatment and other addiction services. The OAC Membership List provides the names of all OAC members and the position they hold.
Seats available:
- Person with substance use lived experience (2 seats)
- Recovery Peer (2 seats)
- Member of community that has been disproportionately impacted by criminal justice involvement related to drug use (3 seats)
- An evidence-based substance use treatment provider
