Recognized Automotive Repair Shops

DEQ maintains a list of automotive repair shops, auto centers and dealerships in the greater Portland metro area that have volunteered to be recognized as qualified servicers for vehicle emissions inspections. Each location has the appropriate diagnostic equipment and employs at least one technician certified by A.S.E. (Automotive Service Excellence) in Engine Repair (A1), Electrical Systems (A6) and Engine Performance (A8), with a minimum of two years automotive repair experience in emission systems. Some shops and technicians may have additional specialized training in hybrid vehicles or have a Master A.S.E. technician.

The list below is not complete, as some qualified facilities have chosen not to be listed.

NOTE: This list does not imply a recommendation from DEQ's Vehicle Inspection Program, nor does DEQ guarantee the work of these facilities. Be sure to contact the business in advance to ensure they can service your vehicle.
