Mission
We draw on community voices, experiences, and ideas to shape state health focus areas and solutions so that all people living in Oregon have the resources and opportunities to thrive. It is important to recognize the government-to-government relationship between the state of Oregon and the Nine Federally Recognized Tribes in honoring Tribal sovereignty and the role Tribes play in improving health in Tribal communities
Vision
Each person living in Oregon can obtain affordable, appropriate and adequate resources that they need to reach optimal health and well-being.
Data and Dashboards
Oregon's State Health Assessment and State Health Improvement Plan are designed to support the health of those who live and work in Oregon. There are two ways that Oregon identifies progress in public health goals:
- The State Population Health Indicators (SPHIs) dashboard,
which are updated annually to show changes in health behaviors and health outcomes. These are available statewide and by county, with downloadable data at the county level and by demographic groups, when available. - The SHIP objectives dashboard, which are measures to show change in four key objectives that demonstrate progress in the State Health Improvement Plan. This data is available at a statewide level.
