Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Site Identification Numbers

A RCRA site identification number is required for certain facilities managing wastes under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. The site identification number is required for facilities notifying DEQ of their hazardous waste, pharmaceutical waste (Healthcare Facility or Reverse Distributor), universal waste or used oil activities.

Small Quantity Generators and Large Quantity Generators that are also healthcare facilities are required to comply with 40 CFR 266 Subpart P and must notify DEQ for each site that is operating under Subpart P. Very Small Quantity Generators that choose to opt-in and elect to manage hazardous waste pharmaceuticals fully in accordance with 40 CFR 266 Subpart P are also required to notify.
