Our expectation is to begin conducting these assessments in March 2024. During the assessment, district staff will be asked to assist contracted assessors by providing access to school facilities and historical maintenance information. For your efforts, we will provide a no-cost comprehensive report on each facility, providing a useful asset for understanding and prioritizing needs within each district and community.
Currently, the OSF is completing the request for proposal (RFP) process and anticipates having a vendor under contract by the end of December 2023. After that, OSF will work with the contractor to develop methodology for the assessment process and ensure UNIFORMAT II level 3 standardization and accessibility to partners.
As part of the program development process we plan to conduct a pilot project partnering with a small group (5-10) districts to leverage on their experience and judgement to ensure a smooth rollout across the state.
