Laws and Rules Governing the Public Health Division

All licensing, certification, monitoring, inspection or regulatory requirements are developed from current laws. The laws governing the activities and scope of the Public Health Division are defined in the Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS). Oregon Administrative Rule Suspensions - Governor Kate Brown has determined that compliance with the following administrative rules would prevent, hinder, or delay mitigation of the effects of the COVID-19 emergency. Pursuant to her emergency powers according to ORS 401.168(2), Governor Brown therefore declares and orders that these rules be suspended for the duration of the COVID-19 state of emergency declared by Executive Order No. 20-03.
