Child Safety

Child Welfare Data Book

The Data Book, which replaced the Status of Children in Oregon's Child Protection System, is the Oregon Department of Human Services' annual report of child abuse and neglect statistics.

Child Welfare Data Set

Find up-to-date information about the children, youth and families served by Oregon's Child Welfare system. This online reporting tool provides the public with more current data and presents the data in different ways aimed at creating a better understanding of our many successes and challenges. The Child Welfare Outcomes Scorecard displays the key child safety and national standard outcome metrics at both the state and district level.

Critical Incident Review Team (CIRT)

The public reports created by the Critical Incident Review Team (CIRT) are an important and unique tool to help protect Oregon's children in state care. The primary purpose of the CIRT process is to rapidly draw lessons for the improvement of agency actions when there is an incident or serious injury or death caused by abuse or neglect involving a child who has had contact with the Oregon Department of Human Services.
