Facilities that have a Simple ACDP or Standard ACDP now have a simplified way to add emergency engines to their permit. Instead of applying for a permit modification, facilities can apply for the new Simple and Standard ACDP attachment for emergency engines. The application fee for the attachment is the same as for a Simple Technical permit modification, but DEQ can process the attachment application more quickly.
To be eligible for the attachment, the aggregate horsepower rating of all emergency engines and fire pump engines at the source must not be more than 3,000 horsepower (HP). Please view the attachment and review report to see if you meet the qualifications.
The application for a Simple and Standard ACDP Attachment must be accessed through YDO.
- Log in to Your DEQ Online. Open the 'Permit/License/Certificate' module from your dashboard.
- Find the permit record associated with the site where you would like to include the emergency engine Simple and Standard ACDP Attachment. Begin an 'amend' permit action.
- Locate and choose the option for “Department Initiated Modification or Attachment" under 'Type of Construction/Change'.
- Then, locate and choose the option for “Simple or Standard ACDP Attachment" under 'What type of DEQ initiated mod is this?'
- Fill out the rest of the submittal with relevant information and submit.
Paying the application fee: You will submit the application through YDO. DEQ staff will conduct an initial completeness review, then assess the fee and send the application back to you for payment. You must log in to YDO and pay the fee following the payment instructions in the system, then resubmit the application to DEQ. DEQ staff will then continue processing the application and, if you qualify, issue you the Attachment.
After You Get an Attachment: There are no annual fees required or assessed for a Simple and Standard ACDP attachment. The applicable engine requirements for your facility will be included in your Simple or Standard ACDP when your permit is next modified or renewed. If the attachment expires before your next permit modification or renewal, you may need to submit a renewal application for the attachment.
