Psilocybin Program Overview

On September 1, 2026, Oregon Psilocybin Services (OPS) and the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (OMMP) merged to form the Medical Cannabis & Psilocybin (MCAP) Section. We are updating our new section name on forms, website pages, and other resources over the coming months, but it may take some time. 

The Psilocybin Program is housed within the Medical Cannabis & Psilocybin (MCAP) Section in the Oregon Health Authority Public Health Division’s Center for Health Protection. The MCAP Psilocybin Program implements Ballot Measure 109 (now codified as ORS 475A), which was passed in November 2020 and directs the Oregon Health Authority to license and regulate the manufacturing, transportation, delivery, sale, and purchase of psilocybin products and the provision of psilocybin services. Each licensed service center, and the licensed facilitators who work with them, manage their own operations and communications with clients.
