Blue Marmot Solar Energy Facility is a proposed solar photovoltaic energy generation facility with a nominal generating capacity of up to 50 megawatts, located within a site boundary of approximately 2,332 acres.(3.6 sq. miles). The site boundary encompasses five solar array sites, related or supporting facilities, and two alternative route segments for the 34.5-kV collector lines in and near the Town of Lakeview in Lake County.
Proposed. The applicant previously submitted a Notice of Intent (NOI) in January 2018, however, due to modifications of the proposed facility, the applicant submitted a revised NOI on October 27, 2020. The Department issued a Notice of NOI and Public Comment Period on November 10, 2020, and held an informational meeting on December 8, 2020. The public comment period on the NOI closes on December 18, 2020. After the Department reviews comments and the NOI, the Department will issue the project order prior to the applicant submitting a preliminary application for site certificate (pASC).
