Blue Marmot Solar Energy Facility is a proposed solar photovoltaic energy generation facility with a nominal generating capacity of up to 50 megawatts, located within a site boundary of approximately 2,332 acres.(3.6 sq. miles). The site boundary encompasses five solar array sites, related or supporting facilities, and two alternative route segments for the 34.5-kV collector lines in and near the Town of Lakeview in Lake County.

Proposed/On Hold. The applicant previously submitted a Notice of Intent (NOI) in January 2018, however, due to modifications of the proposed facility, the applicant submitted a revised NOI on October 27, 2020. The Department issued a Notice of NOI and Public Comment Period on November 10, 2020, and held an informational meeting on December 8, 2020. The public comment period on the NOI closed on December 18, 2020. The Department reviewed comments and the NOI, and issued the project order on February 23, 2021. The applicant requested to temporarily suspended the ODOE/EFSC review of the proposed facility due to commercial reasons while it pursues approval via the County process for a modified facility.
