Facilities

Summit Ridge Renewable Energy Facility is a proposed wind and solar photovoltaic energy generation facility including , battery storage and related and supporting facilities to be located within an approximately 4,061-acre (6.35 sq. mile) site boundary of private land zoned for exclusive farm use in northeastern Wasco County.

Under Review/Proposed. On January 26, 2024, the Oregon Department of Energy received a Notice of Intent from Summit Ridge Wind, LLC to File an Application for a Site Certificate (NOI) for the Summit Ridge Renewable Energy.

A public information meeting on the NOI was held in Dufur on April 3, 2024.  The meeting provided an opportunity for in-person and remote participation.

Meeting Materials:

On June 10, 2024, the Department issued a Project Order. The Notice of Intent, Public Notice of the Notice of Intent, and the Project Order are available in the timeline below.

On November 24, 2025 the applicant submitted a request to extend the NOI expiration date by one year from January 26, 2026 to January 25, 2027. The Council reviewed the request at the January 15, 2026 EFSC meeting and approved the request with a new NOI expiration date of January 25, 2027. The NOI extension request and the approved order are available in the timeline below.​
