Boardman Solar Energy Facility is an approved solar photovoltaic energy generation facility with a peak generating capacity of 75 megawatts, located within a site boundary of approximately 798 acres (1.25 sq. miles) of land zoned exclusive farm use.
Approved/Under Review. The facility has not yet been built. Construction must begin by February 23, 2021.

On January 7, 2021, the Department received preliminary Request for Amendment 1 of the Boardman Solar Energy Facility site certificate (pRFA1). pRFA1 seeks Council approval for a three year extension to both the construction commencement and completion deadlines. This change would make the new construction commencement deadline February 23, 2024, and the new construction completion deadline February 23, 2027.

Preliminary Request for Amendment 1 includes a Type B Review Amendment Determination Request (Type B Review ADR) seeking concurrence that the amendment request be processed under Type B review, which is currently being evaluated by the Department.

The Department will post its determination on the Type B Review ADR to the website and will issue a courtesy notice via ClickDimensions of its determination. Following review and completeness determination of pRFA1, the Department will issue a Draft Proposed Order and Notice of Draft Proposed Order, initiating a public comment period on both the amendment request and Draft Proposed Order. These materials will be posted to the project webpage below upon issuance.

The solar energy generation components of the facility will be located in Morrow County. The 115-kV transmission line that will connect the energy facility to the grid will be located within Gilliam County​​​. PDF Map | Online Map
