In 2020, the Oregon Department of Education launched an effort to revise its Language of Origin code list to include the languages of Oregon's nine federally recognized Indigenous tribes, as well as to represent the growing communities from Mexico and Guatemala who are of Indigenous origin and speak languages other than Spanish. The Language Revitalization Lab at the University of Oregon joined this effort. See resources below:
