Key Dates for Accountability and Reporting

News

The Oregon Department of Education will consider appeals regarding accountability data displayed on the 2025-26 Accountability Detail sheets and the At-A-Glance School and District Profiles. On behalf of their respective schools, districts may submit the following to ODE:

  • A written request from the school district superintendent or the superintendent’s designee, received at ODE by 5:00 PM PDT on August 12, 2026.
  • Appeals must be accompanied by appropriate documentation.

Districts that wish to submit an appeal must return the appropriate materials to Elyse Bean by email. Please use the secure file transfer to submit student level data (if applicable).

More information about submitting appeals is available on the Accountability Details page under the Accountability Appeals menu. For questions, contact Elyse Bean.

The At-A-Glance School and District Profiles Validation opened on July 30 and will close September 11, 2026. Previews of your preliminary At-A-Glance Profiles are available to review in validation in the Achievement Data Insight (ADI) application.

Training for the At-A-Glance School and District Profiles was conducted on July 30, and a recording is available on the ODE District Training page. If you have questions regarding the At-A-Glance Profiles, please contact Elyse Bean or your Regional ESD Partner.

To request changes to institutions within the Institutions Database, including grade level changes, address changes, type changes, parent changes, new institutions, and closures, districts must complete an Institution Request Form and provide additional required documentation (found on page 8 of the form). Changes should be submitted as soon as possible to ensure ODE data collections recognize any updates immediately. Changes that are reflected in At-A-Glance Profiles, such as address changes, must be requested prior to September 15. If you have any questions, please e-mail ode.institutions-request@ode.oregon.gov.

District staff can review, make changes, and request principal and superintendent updates for staff listed at schools and districts within the Institution Staff Maintenance Application within Central Login. Please ensure someone within the district regularly reviews data within this application. Currently, the only required positions are the head of the institution (principals at schools and superintendents at districts), and as of 2026, four new positions: Civil Rights Coordinator, Title IX Coordinator, Section 504 Coordinator, and ADA/Title II Coordinator. All other positions are optional but should be maintained for accuracy if provided. Review the Institution Staff Maintenance Application User Guide for assistance. If you have any questions, please e-mail Amanda Leopard, Research Analyst.

Oregon Extended English Language Arts (ELA), Extended Mathematics, and Extended Science test records are available as of Friday, June 26 in the Assessment Record Updating Application (ARUA) and Accountability Warehouse Extract (AWE) on the ODE secure district website. (If you do not have access to these applications, please contact your district security administrator.)

District Test Coordinators who wish to edit records for students who took an OSAS Extended Assessment in 2025-26 may select the Test Type “Extended Assessments” when searching for records in the ARUA. Be sure to resolve errors before downloading or reviewing records online so that the data is as accurate as possible. Please contact your Regional ESD Partner for more information or for assistance accessing these records.

Science partial test records (any test where the student responded to at least one question or interaction within the first stand-alone item or cluster, but never finished the test) are available as of Friday, June 26 in the Assessment Record Updating Application (ARUA), Accountability Warehouse Extract (AWE) and Secure Assessment Reports (SAR) applications. (If you do not have access to these applications, please contact your district security administrator.)

Be sure to resolve errors in the ARUA before downloading or reviewing records online so that the data is as accurate as possible. Please contact your Regional ESD Partner for more information or for assistance accessing these records.
