Accountability Details

Overview

The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) produces yearly Accountability Detail Sheets for schools and districts. The Accountability Detail Sheets report school and district performance and improvement using the current accountability model developed in Oregon’s Consolidated State Plan under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), which is the most recent reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA).

The Accountability Detail Sheets are published each year alongside the At-A-Glance School and District Profiles. Together, the Accountability Detail Sheets and At-A-Glance School and District Profiles comprise ODE’s larger reporting system as required by the Oregon State Legislature and ESSA. The Accountability Detail Sheets report data on school and district performance, improvement, and identify suggested levels of support for schools under ESSA. The At-A-Glance School and District Profiles are a less technical overview for parents and community members. The Accountability Detail Sheets do not include summative school ratings, which were discontinued in the new accountability model under ESSA.
