Active Willamette Basin TMDLs: Tualatin Subbasin

2012 and 2001 Tualatin TMDL

The Tualatin TMDL consists of water-quality limits and actions that protect the Tualatin River by controlling nutrients, temperature, bacteria and other stressors. The original watershed TMDLs and related limits adopted in 2001 established targets and actions for several pollutants; the 2012 Tualatin Subbasin TMDL updated and amended earlier limits for pH and chlorophyl a, redistributed allocations, and added a more comprehensive Water Quality Management and implementation framework to guide permits, monitoring, and on-the-ground projects. The Tualatin Subbasin TMDL Revision was approved by EPA on December 14, 2012.
