Getting involved
The Board uses a website called
BoardBook to host its meeting-related materials, including meeting agendas, previously adopted rules, public comments received, and meeting recordings. Members of the public are welcome to review Board materials and observe Board meetings using our
livestream. The Board also maintains a public comment process that allows members of the public to provide testimony on items before the Board or to raise issues to the attention of the Board and Agency Director.
Written public comment is encouraged via email or mail to: State Board of Education, 255 Capitol Street NE, Salem, OR 97310. Additional opportunities for public comment are included in the public notice for each meeting.
You can subscribe to receive State Board of Education notices and updates here. The Board encourages all speakers providing comments on an agenda item to review materials posted to BoardBook before doing so. For more information, visit our
Board Public Comment page.
