Supporting Americas School Infrastructure Program (SASI)

Overview

This is a federally funded program which supports the Statewide School Facility Assessments by allowing ODE to hire enough contractors to assess all school buildings in the state in two years rather than five.

Another goal of this program is to increase the capacity of states to support high-need local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools in leveraging other available federal, state, and local resources. Oregon identifies high need LEAs by those who have not passed a bond and/or have higher than the state average of poverty.
