Each year the U.S. Department of Education (USED) required states to submit data on the expenditure of their ESSER I, II, and III funds to fulfill federal reporting requirements.
ODE used ESSER reimbursement data and other data already submitted to ODE to complete most of the federal report. However, there is some additional data that needed to be submitted by school districts, ESDs, and state-sponsored charter schools.
To close out the grants, ODE collected data for two fiscal years in the Spring of 2025. Grantees were required to provide data for:
- FY 24 (Year 5): July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024
- FY 25 (Year 6): July 1, 2024 – September 30, 2024
ODE used online forms to collect this additional data. Please note there is a separate collection form for school districts, ESDs, and state-sponsored charter schools. Grantees were required to submit data for FY 2024 and FY 2025 using these forms during the collection window, March 17 – April 11, 2025, to remain in compliance with ESSER funding requirements.
