Latino-Network-Logo-scaled.jpgLatino Network

Latino Network’s approach to supporting Latine LGBTQ2SIA+ students has three components, making it unique among other Latine community based organizations. Firstly, we provide comprehensive, medically accurate sexuality education to ninth and tenth graders in our culturally specific afterschool programming. Secondly, we provide parallel education to parents. By providing both with information on sexual health as part of our programming, we normalize and destigmatize the subject, creating space and building skills to talk about sexual health with each other, peers and partners. Thirdly, we are piloting a culturally specific support group for Latine LGBTQ2SIA+ middle school students to directly address the lack of trusted adults and safe spaces as well as barriers to middle school success.
