Charge Ahead Rebate suspension
Due to limited funding, the Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program will suspend the Charge Ahead Rebate on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025. To qualify for this rebate, you must buy or lease your vehicle from May 22, 2025, through Dec. 4, 2025. Purchases or leases made on or after Dec. 5, 2025, will not be eligible for the Charge Ahead Rebate. If you buy or lease a vehicle within the eligible timeframe, you still have six months from your purchase or lease date to apply. Find additional details in the press release.
The Standard Rebate was suspended on Sept. 9, 2025. Vehicles purchased or leased between May 22,2025, through Sept 8, 2025, still have six months from the purchase or lease date to apply. All future approved Standard Rebate applications will be placed on a waiting list to be paid in spring 2026.
The Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program offers a cash rebate for Oregon drivers who purchase or lease electric vehicles. Those living in Oregon can apply for the Standard Rebate and the Charge Ahead Rebate at the time of purchase or lease, called “point of sale," at a Participating Dealership when purchasing an eligible vehicle. Only Participating Dealerships may offer the rebate at point of sale. You can find participating dealer locations below or by viewing the "OCVRP Participating Electric Vehicle Dealers" map. If you purchase or lease your vehicle through a Participating Dealer, the dealership can complete and submit the application on your behalf; the rebate amount will be deducted from the purchase or lease price.
For the Charge Ahead Rebate to be applied at the time of purchase or lease, applicants must first apply for and be issued a Charge Ahead Prequalification Voucher. Applicants can apply to be prequalified by visiting the
application page and completing the online form to verify their income meets the eligibility requirements.
Without a Charge Ahead Prequalification Voucher, applicants must apply post-purchase for the rebate.
Organizations (business, nonprofits and government agencies) cannot apply at point of sale at this time.
