The vehicles on this list are ones DEQ currently approves for the Standard and Charge Ahead Rebates. The list is subject to change any time with or without notice if DEQ's understanding of the program requirements changes. Applicants should refer to the applicable statutes and regulations (Oregon Administrative Rule 340-270) for all program and eligibility requirements.
The Standard Rebate is available to Oregon residents, businesses, non-profits and government agencies purchasing or leasing a new eligible vehicle. The Charge Ahead Rebate is available for income-eligible Oregon residents and non-profit, low-income service providers purchasing or leasing a new or used vehicle. Applicants may apply for a Standard OR a Charge Ahead Rebate. The Standard and the Charge Ahead Rebates may not be combined. Additionally, individuals are limited to a total of two rebates from 2018 through the lifetime of the program. Businesses are limited to 10 rebates per year.
All vehicles must be purchased or leased while the program is open and from a certified vehicle dealer OR an original equipment manufacturer. No person-to-person sales allowed. Vehicles must also be operable, capable of travelling at a speed of 55 mph or more, not been declared a totaled vehicle or have a salvage title and if a battery electric vehicle, able to travel 75 miles or more using only electricity and if a plug-in hybrid, able to travel at least 10 miles using only electricity and be within the 15 year/150,000 mile warranty the required 24 months an applicant must maintain ownership and Oregon registration.

[1] Older model year vehicles (prior to 2025) may qualify for the Standard or Charge Ahead New Rebate if the vehicle was purchased as new or has been previously used only as a dealership floor model or test-drive vehicle and has not previously been registered in Oregon. Additionally, if an older model year vehicle is not listed and meets the battery range requirements, it may be eligible for the Charge Ahead Used Rebate. Please contact Cleancars@deq.oregon.gov if you think your older model year vehicle may qualify for the Standard Rebate.
* Rebate amount is at least $2,500, where the total vehicle price equals at least $2,500, and up to lesser of $4,000 or 30% of the total vehicle price, for the purchase or lease of a used battery electric vehicle.
** Rebate amount is a maximum of $2,500, or no more than the vehicle purchase price, for the purchase or lease of a used plug-in hybrid electric vehicle.
