Facilities

Hermiston Power Project is a natural gas-fueled electric generating facility comprised of a combined-cycle combustion turbine with a maximum capacity of 546 megawatts, or 600 megawatts with augmentation.
Operating. On March 14, 2023, the Department received an Amendment Determination Request (ADR) from the certificate holder. The ADR seeks a written determination from the Department on whether a site certificate amendment is needed for the installation of a new potable water well at the Hermiston Power Project site. On May 4, 2023, the Department issued an evaluation of the ADR and a determination that the circumstances described do not require an amendment to the Fourth Amended Site Certificate for the Hermiston Power Project. The ADR, and the Department's evaluation and Determination are posted in the project timeline below. The determination will be announced at a subsequent Council meeting.
