The Klamath Falls Energy Center is a proposed 400-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation facility, with related or supporting facilities including a 400 MW battery energy storage system. The proposed site includes approximately 8,600 acres (13.4 sq. miles) of privately owned land in Klamath County’s Forestry (F) zoning district in Klamath County, Oregon.

​Under Review/Proposed. On December 22, 2025, the Oregon Department of Energy (Department) received a Notice of Intent (NOI) to file an Application for a Site Certificate (ASC) for the Klamath Falls Energy Center (proposed facility). On February 4, 2026, the Department issued Public Notice of the NOI, Public Comment Period, and Public Informational Meeting. The comment period on the NOI is open from February 4, 2026 to March 20, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. (extended by the Department from March 13 to March 20, 2026 following the NOI Public Information meeting). Comments may be submitted in writing via mail, email, at the in-person informational meeting, or through the ODOE Siting Comment Portal . To submit comments via the Siting Comment Portal select “Klamath Falls Energy Center NOI" from the drop down menu and follow prompts. See the Notice of the NOI for additional details about submitting comments on the Timeline below. 

An in-person and remote Public Informational Meeting on the NOI was held on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
