On December 12, 2025, the Oregon Department of Energy (Department) received a Notice of Intent (NOI) to file an Application for a Site Certificate (ASC) for Saddle Butte Energy Facility (proposed facility). Public Notice of the NOI, Public Comment Period, and Public Informational Meeting was issued on December 30, 2025. The Public Notice opened the Public Comment Period on the NOI. A Public Comment Period on the NOI is now open and will extend until January 30, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time (PT). Comments may be submitted in writing via mail, fax, email, or through our siting comment portal. An in-person and remote Public Informational Meeting on the NOI was held in Condon, Oregon on January 13, 2026. At this meeting, the Department and the applicant presented information about the Siting Process (how to participate and comment) and the proposed facility and location, respectively.
