Streamlined Reporting & Pilot Project

ODE currently administers 126 state and federal programs. As a result, school districts are overburdened with the administrative side, including completing separate reports, answering narrative questions, responding to assurances and more.

ODE is committed to significantly reducing the total number of pieces of information school districts are asked to submit. In order to create a solution that works in large school districts and Oregon’s smallest, rural school districts, thirty school districts have agreed to a year-long workgroup for developing and piloting a new and improved solution.

Pilot Project Helps Redesign State Reporting and Grant Applications

34 school districts are partnering with ODE to design and implement streamlined reporting and consolidated grant application processes.

We want to move school districts away from:

  • Having to answer 250 narrative questions
  • Completing 57 assurances
  • Navigating through 46 different submission methods
  • Communicating with 93 assigned ODE contacts
  • Keeping track of a submission calendar that spans 365 days of the year
