Career and Technical Student Organizations


Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) provide leadership opportunities at the local, state, and national levels. Each organization sponsors events such as state and national skill competitions and leadership training.

  • Oregon Career Technical Education Student Leadership Foundation (OCTESLF)

    OCTESLF is dedicated to promoting and facilitating the growth of student leadership in Career Technical Education. Oregon’s official Career Technical Student Organizations leadership (DECA, FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, HOSA, SkillsUSA, and TSA) along with Oregon Department of Education CTE specialists and industry partners form the board of this joint coordinating nonprofit organization.

  • Oregon DECA – Emerging Leaders and Entrepreneurs

    Business and Management CTSO preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management (High School & College).

  • Oregon Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)

    Business and Management / Art, Information and Communication CTSO preparing student leaders for careers in business and information technology. (Middle Level, High School, & College).

  • Oregon Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)

    Human Services CTSO preparing students for personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences Education.

  • Oregon HOSA – Future Health Professionals

    Health Science CTSO preparing student leaders for careers in medical, dental, and healthcare industry. (High School & College).

  • Skills USA Oregon

    Industrial and Engineering CTSO preparing student leaders for careers in trade, technical, and skilled service occupations. (High School & College).

  • Technology Student Association (TSA)

    TSA accelerates student achievement and leadership, and supports teachers by providing engaging opportunities to develop STEM skills.

  • Oregon FFA Association

    Oregon FFA is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success. Agricultural Education prepares students for successful careers and a lifetime of informed choices in the global agriculture, food, fiber and natural resources systems. (Middle School, High School & College).

  • Oregon Future Natural Resource Leaders

    The Oregon FNRL (Future Natural Resource Leaders) is a Career Technical Student Organization that is dedicated to the support of high school students who are interested in pursuing educational and career opportunities within the Natural Resources / Forestry sectors. The focus of the FNRL Association is to provide career related activities that support the development of Smart, Strong and Safe students, workers and citizens. Key tenets of the FNRL are to understand the Environmental Benefits, Social Benefits and Economic Benefits of Natural Resources / Forestry management.
