Stateline Wind Project is a wind energy facility consisting of two units – Stateline 1 & 2 and Vansycle II. Stateline 1 & 2 is composed of 186 wind turbines and has a peak generating capacity of up to 123 megawatts. Vansycle II consists of 43 wind turbines with a peak generating capacity of 99 megawatts.

Operating: The certificate holder must initiate construction of facility components approved by RFA5 by 2022.

Under Review:

On July 12, 2021, the Department received preliminary Request for Amendment 6 (pRFA6) to the Stateline Wind Project Facility Site Certificate, inclusive of a “Type B Review" Amendment Determination Request (Type B Review ADR).

Preliminary Request for Amendment 6 (pRFA6) seeks Council approval to add 50 MW of battery storage, and increase the height and MW output of the wind turbines associated with the Vansycle II unit.

pRFA6 includes a Type B Review Amendment Determination Request (Type B Review ADR) seeking concurrence that the amendment request be processed under Type B review, which is currently being evaluated by the Department.

The Department will post its determination on the Type B Review ADR to the website and will issue a courtesy notice via ClickDimensions of its determination. Following review and completeness determination of pRFA6, the Department will issue a Draft Proposed Order and Notice of Draft Proposed Order, initiating a public comment period on both the amendment request and Draft Proposed Order. These materials will be posted to the project webpage below upon issuance.
