Facilities

Stateline Wind Project is a wind energy facility consisting of two units – Stateline 1 & 2 and Vansycle II. Stateline 1 & 2 is composed of 186 wind turbines and has a peak generating capacity of up to 123 megawatts. Vansycle II consists of 43 wind turbines with a peak generating capacity of 99 megawatts.

Operating: The certificate holder must initiate construction of facility components approved by RFA5 by 2022.

Under Review: On November 19, 2021, the Department received a complete Request for Amendment 6 of the Stateline Wind Project site certificate (RFA6). RFA6 seeks Council approval to replace blades and nacelles (repower) of 43 existing wind turbines; decommission and replace up to 4 existing wind turbines; construct and operate up to 2 wind turbines; total not to exceed 45 wind turbines; and, construct and operate 50 MW of battery energy storage.

On November 23, 2021, the Department issued a Draft Proposed Order on RFA6 (DPO), initiating a 23-day comment period on the DPO and complete RFA6. The Department conducted a public hearing on the Draft Proposed Order on Thursday, December 16, 2021 via teleconference/webinar. Council reviewed the Draft Proposed Order on December 17, 2021; the Department issued the Proposed Order, Notice of Proposed Order and Notice of an Opportunity to Request a Contested Case Proceeding on the Proposed Order on December 21, 2021. Written requests for a contested case must be received by the Department on January 20, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.​
