School Nutrition Programs Grant Opportunities
This page is dedicated to assisting sponsors with grant opportunities for their school nutrition programs.
The NSLP Equipment grant is a competitive award for School Food Authorities (SFA) to purchase equipment, with a value greater than $1,000 but less than $50,000. The purpose is to provide equipment:
- To serve healthier meals
- To improve food safety
- To support the establishment, maintenance or expansion of School Breakfast Program.
Any SFA with an approved state agency agreement on file to operate the National School Lunch Program (per 7 CFR 210.9 (b)) and meet the Request for Application (RFA) criteria may apply for the grant.
Important Reminder:
Recipients previously awarded equipment grants are eligible to apply Preference Points will be given to applications from sponsors whose schools have not been previously awarded an equipment grant.
Due Date: October 30, 2025, for the 2024-2026 NSLP Equipment Assistance Grant
2024-2026 Request for Application (RFA) NSLP Equipment Grant and Smarter Lunchroom documents are available at OregonBuys.
To apply for this grant, please contact a staff member within your organization who has access to OregonBuys to obtain the necessary documents and information.
To awardees who are seeking NSLP Equipment Grant award reimbursement, it is a two-step process. First complete the NSLP Equipment Grant Reimbursement form including a copy of the invoice (linked below) and second, submit the request in EGMS (Electronic Grant Management System).
