Oregon’s comprehensive school counseling programs address the four broad developmental domains of academic, career, social/emotional learning and community involvement. These domains promote the knowledge, attitudes and skills that enhance the learning process and create a culture of college, career and life readiness for every student. 

  • Oregon Graduation Requirements​

    Learn about the features of the Oregon Diploma and how it prepares each student for success in all aspects of their life, including college and career, citizenship, and life-long learning.

  • Accelerated Learning

    Accelerated Learning Programs provide high school students with the opportunity to earn college credit while in high school, supports and encourages a college-going culture, and reduces gaps in college access and academic achievement.

  • STEM Education Oregon and national resources for STEM Education, information on projects funded by STEM-related grants, and information on the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Grant managed by the Oregon Robotics Tournament and Outreach Program.

    Social emotional learning advances educational equity and excellence through authentic school-family-community partnerships to establish learning environments and experiences that feature trusting and collaborative relationships, rigorous and meaningful curriculum and instruction, and ongoing evaluation.

  • Oregon Classroom Wise Mental Health Modules ​Oregon Classroom WISE is a suite of resources including free, online, self-guided modules for adults and youth interested in strengthening mental health and well-being.

  • Care and Connection Tools and Resources Care, connection, and community are the heart of education. Each is essential for promoting health, safety, and well-being, and creating the conditions where students can learn, and staff can teach and nurture our youth.

  • ODE Mental Health & Well-Being​ Mental health refers to the emotional, social, cognitive, behavioral, physical, and relational thriving of individuals and systems.​

Service-learning provides structured, sustained learning experiences in organized community service projects that meet actual community needs. Experiences are linked to classroom learning outcomes and career related knowledge and skills through a cycle of service and reflection. Students design service-learning projects collaboratively with community partners.

  • Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs)
    Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) are a key component of strong CTE programs through integration into programs and courses that extends teaching and learning through innovative programs, business and community partnerships and leadership experiences at the school, state and national levels.​

      The Career College Collaborative (C3) works to mobilize counselors, building administrators, and youth advisors through regional and statewide convenings, networking, professional learning and resources to accelerate Oregon's progress toward high school graduation and postsecondary completion.
