The Office of Migrant Education (OME), a division of the U.S. Department of Education, monitors the state of Oregon every 4-5 years, examining its statewide plan designed to meet the needs of migrant students. The Migrant Specialist at ODE monitors the programs of participating districts and ESDs every two to three years.

Consortium Migrant Education Projects are monitored on a three year cycle. Monitoring consists of a document review prior to an onsite monitoring visit. Onsite Monitoring: Summer School
Summer School Projects are monitored as a requirement from the Office of Migrant Education. Monitoring includes a document review two weeks prior to the onsite visit and the onsite visit. Migrant Title I-C Program summer programs need to be monitored every 2 - 3 years.
Onsite Monitoring: Preschool
Use the Preschool Monitoring Template during the regular year if any Preschool allocation is used during the regular year. Use this same form if any Preschool allocation is used during summer school.
