Child Care Centers, Outside School Hours Centers and Adult Day Care centers who claim meals as Free or Reduced Price must have documentation to support how a participants eligibility is determined. TheConfidential Income Statement (CIS) is the most common form of documentation used in Child Care Programs to support participant eligibility determinations.
When distributing a Confidential Income Statement, the Letter to the Household must be included. The Letter to the Household explains the Confidential Income Statement.
