Facilities

Klondike III Wind Project is a wind energy facility located on approximately 14,500 acres (22.7 square miles). The facility consists of 176 turbines, with a maximum blade tip height of 492 feet, and an overall peak generating capacity of 300 megawatts.

Operating. The facility commenced commercial operation in late 2007. The certificate holder’s 2023 Wildlife Monitoring results are provided in the Project Timeline below. In accordance with a requirement of the Wildlife Monitoring and Mitigation Plan (Site Certificate Condition 95), the Department has posted these results for public review and is accepting comments on the 2023 Wildlife Monitoring results through September 13, 2024.
