Oregon Department of Education provides the following resources for guidance in the creation and coordination of traffic patrols for schools:
NOTE: changes to the Oregon provision regarding the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) in 2025 allow the use of
existing flags for their useful lifespan, but do not allow the acquisition of new flags for traffic patrol, and flags must be replaced with stop paddles. Information in the manual regarding flags is provided for use with existing equipment until it can no longer serve its purpose.
