Social Science Notices

1st Announcement & Notice: January 17, 2025

​Circular of Information Announcing Upcoming Adoption of Social Science​ Instructional Materials​

​The Circular of Information announces and details the upcoming adoption of K-12 Social Science instructional materials in Oregon. The Circular also contains the laws and statutes regarding the instructional materials adoption. The Information Request Form should be submitted by all publishers who are interested in receiving information about the 2025 evaluation and adoption of K-12 Social Science instructional materials.​ The Information Request Form is due no later than close of business on February 14, 2025.

K-5 English Language Arts Notices

​Circular of Information Announcing Upcoming Adoption of K-5 ELA Instructional Materials

In April 18, 2024, Oregon’s State Board of Education revised the Instructional Materials Adoption Schedule to add K-5 ELA to the 2024 adoption. This action was taken to support districts that may be using the 2025 Early Literacy Success School District Grants to purchase instructional materials. This is an expansion of the current list; not a re-evaluation. No ELA instructional materials on the 2021 State Board approved list will be removed or re-evaluated. A publisher may not resubmit materials currently on the list unless they are submitting a different program or product. Materials submitted in 2021 that were not approved, even if denied reevaluation, cannot be resubmitted until 2027.  

English Language Arts & Literacy

The 2024 ELA Circular of Information announces and details the upcoming adoption of K-5 ELA instructional materials in Oregon. The Circular also contains the laws and statutes regarding the instructional materials adoption. The Information Request Form and Proposal Form should be submitted by all publishers who are interested in participating in the 2024 evaluation and adoption of K-5 ELA instructional materials.​ The Information Request Form and Proposal Form are due no later than close of business on May 3rd, 2024.
