New for 2020-2021

Boot Camp and Fall Regional Trainings will be held virtually via GoToTraining. If you did not receive a listserv email regarding training registrations, email a member of the Data Team. Listserv to be sent after dates are finalized.

Boot Camp Training

Office of Enhancing Student Opportunities' Data Team offers two one-day trainings for new District and ESD staff responsible for reporting special education data. This in-depth training covers December Special Education Child Count (SECC), June Special Education Exit and Special Education Child Find (Indicator 11).

The purpose of these trainings is to familiarize new staff responsible for submitting Child Count, June Exit and Child Find data. Topics include data to be reported, how to report the data, how the data are used, common problem areas and the need for accurate and timely data submission.

Boot Camp is a full-day training held in late September or early October. Each training session will be virtually held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with time for lunch and breaks. Due to the training content, slots are limited and registration is required. New staff will take priority.

The Boot Camp dates for 2020 are September 23 and 25.

Fall Regional Training Sessions

The Data Team will offer four trainings for all staff responsible for reporting special education data. These trainings outline collection updates for December Child Count, June Exit and Child Find, and respond to District and ESD questions.

Regional Trainings are a half-day training held in late September or early October. Each training session will be virtually held from 9 a.m. to noon, with time for a break.

The Data Team has divided the virtual trainings into quadrants for attendee consistency. However, staff are welcome to attend whichever training works best.
