ODE USDA Food Distribution Program
This programs' mission is to strengthen the Nation's nutrition safety net by providing food and nutrition assistance to school children and families; and support American agriculture by distributing high quality, 100% American-grown USDA Foods.
Public and Private schools, Residential Child Care Institutions, and other sponsors of the National School Lunch Program, Summer Food Service Program, and Child and Adult Care Food Program are eligible to receive USDA Foods. USDA allocates funds to the State Agency which is then allocated to each Agency based on their total lunches served in the previous school year. Recipient Agencies then use these funds to spend on USDA Foods through one or any combinations of the available options below.
